Madison was born on June 27th, 2:20am.

Since then, it's been a rollercoaster. She's been in NICU since 5am the day she was born, due to apnea (breathing) complications from reflux.

They believe, that because she was a few weeks early, her lungs might just be a tad bit immature, and that when she has reflux issues, it just causes some breathing problems also.

She's had an upper GI, two sleep studies, a spinal tap and several other tests done to her. Once they confirmed it was reflux (on the 29th) they started her on medication, and she hasn't had an issue since. THANKFULLY!

Other than the reflux/apnea, she's doing great. She's eating well, gaining weight, having good diapers and I'm able to breastfeed her one feeding a day (and she's a CHAMP at it!).

This is extremely difficult on both Matt and I. We want the best for her, and we want her to be healthy, but it's so hard not having her at home with us.

She was suppose to go home today, but they did the second sleep test yesterday and the results came back today that she has some very minor breathing episodes throughout the day, but not enough to set off the monitors. So, they put her on oxygen, just to help her lungs along.

They're doing one more test tomorrow morning, and if all goes well, we'll be able to bring her home after. If not tomorrow, Wednesday at the latest.

When she does come home, she has to be on an apnea machine for a few weeks (which is just a little belt hooked up to some wires, velcros around her chest) whenever we're out of the room or she's sleeping. She'll also have to be on oxygen for a couple weeks.

So, if we don't reply to IMs or I'm not around or just seem inactive, this is why. Hopefully everyone can just be patient with us.

Also, fortunately, she's the most adorable baby ever. And fairly quiet and likes sleeping. So far.

Today is moving day.

Andrea is 31 weeks pregnant.

Matt's Mother is in town.

Andrea is most likely going to turn into a homicidal maniac at some point in the near future.

So, if I don't appear for a few days, I -might- be in jail. Just FYI!

Just as a general update for everyone, we got approved for the mortgage, and our closing date will probably be April 30th (that was the original date and we're going to try and stick to it). We're going to Dallas this weekend, but when we get back, it's going to be PACKPACKPACK. I'll probably still keep Kat pretty well updated, but if I'm not in chat or afk on AIM, you know why!

We're hoping to be completely moved in by the second week of May! *cheer*

We started buying a house today. So, if all goes well and the mortgage gets approved, we'll be doing a lot of packing and busy-ness. Closing date on the house is April 30th :o

Yes, we're crazy people who are going to try and move into a house in a month or less, as we won't find out about the mortgage for another two-ish weeks, and we don't really want to start packing until then.

He's apping for a character in TheProfs (after Kate and I have been bugging him for forever) and he wants to use Ryan McPartlin (AKA Captain Awesome from Chuck) as his PB. I can't seem to find many icons of him, so I figured I'd ask here if anyone has seen any from their sources or awesome tactics of icon-finding.

If not, I will resort to just sorting through screencaps and making him some, heh.

But, any help would be much appreciated from Matt!

I'm would like to app for a Supplement in The Profs! I could use some help fitting her in, either family members, significant other or a roommate or something for someone in the game!

- 20's, mid to late.
- Doesn't have to be Hogwarts alumni - would rather stay away from Beauxbatons but Merfolk, Centaurs, etc are all doable.
- Talker, dabbles with Divination and Stargazing. Can babble for hours.
- More added later, really just looking for ideas for a character that could be connected to someone in the game!

( New Years Meme thing! )

I know I don't post much, life has been pretty hectic recently, but I wanted to give y'all an update.

Matt and I are expecting our first child approximately July 11th! :-)

We're alive. Minimal damage sustained, and we have power and water back now. (And just got internet back, yaaaay). Our complex has most of it's trees down and some roof damage, but the maintenance guys are already working on fixing stuff, which is good.

Lots of damage to surrounding areas, and all the gas stations are out of gas, though. Had to make a trip out to CVS to get feminine hygiene products, that was a fun little trip. They only took exact change.

A lot of the high-rises downtown have had windows blown out, and my building suffered water damage. No work today or tomorrow for sure, and my boss said to not be surprised if we're out all week. Thankfully, we get paid for the days that we're scheduled to work that get canceled, which for me, is everyday except Thursday. Matt goes back on Wednesday.

Yesterday was my RUN AROUND AND FINISH EVERYTHING day, today is MY day. No one can ruin this for me. Other people are doing EVERYTHING. I get to sit back, get my hair done, look pretty and walk down the aisle. No expectations. If anything goes wrong IT'S NOT MY FAULT.
